An experimental instrumental EP that explores and pushes the boundaries of sound and music: a unique blend of organic vocabulary mixed with elements borrowed from the syntaxes of world, cinematic, and electronic music. In perfect Dario’s fashion, his boutique sound encompasses textures that are grainy and warm, traditional instruments that are produced and reinterpreted in a ‘modernly primordial’ way, and the simply complex – yet compelling – melodies complement sounds that range from hypnotic to visceral, from dissonant and punchy to sophisticated and deep.
In this album – recorded between Los Angeles and London’s Abbey Road Studios – dense Americana atmospheres seamlessly blend with soaring strings, dark acoustic guitars, pulsing cello and a mix of melancholic and evocative charango arpeggios, exploring the sound of both Americas in a unique way.
Organic meets synthetic. In this album Dario experiments with cinematic strings that range from tense, driving and eerie to mysterious and pensive, joined by dark pulsing synths, menacing drums, edgy percussion and dramatic climaxes, to create a unique combination of sounds.
This song was co-written and produced by Dario for the documentary “Zero Gravity” directed by Thomas Verrette and it is performed by singer Willow Stephens.
Zero Gravity is a powerful and inspirational feature documentary about education, science, space, and the next generation.
A spine-tingling set, ideal for horror soundtracks. Detuned piano mingles with eerie music box motifs, claustrophobic cello, sinister drones, aggressive metal guitars, and a succession of haunting, disembodied voices.
The third and final installment of the “Aerial Circles” series. Written between 2017 and 2020, the sound of this release evolved into a more minimalistic approach combined with dense atmospheres and modern electronic sounds.
The last track on the EP “My Only Hope” is an instrumental rendition of Thomas Tallis’s 40-part Renaissance choral motet “Spem In Alium” (c. 1570), and features 40 electric guitars performed by Dario Forzato. The modern post-rock sound meets the greatest piece of English early music by maestro Thomas Tallis creating a unique atmosphere swaying between relaxation and liturgical.
